On September 17-18, 2008 SNEGIRI country hotel of the Russian Federation President Administration hosted Kurs(Y) Dlya Tekh Kto v Kurse 2008 3rd Annual Partner Conference.

M2M telematic was the organizer of the conference, which was attended by more than 150 people representing M2M telematic partners from different parts of Russia and CIS, as well as potential partners.

The conference was held for two days. On the first day a plenary session was organized to summarize the annual performance and to review the current trends of telematic services development in Moscow and Russian regions. M2M telematic presented new project, as well as methods and tools intended for efficiency improvement. Speeches were delivered by representatives of M2M telematic, Regional Control Centers, the company’s strategic partners – space industry companies – and GLONASS/GNSS-Forum Association. Yuri M. Urlichich, GLONASS RNII KP FGUP Director General and General Designer, made a presentation entitled «The Current Status and Future Prospects of GLONASS System». After several hours of efficient work, M2M telematic awarded valuable gifts to its partners who demonstrated the best results in the previous year. Three companies received awards in M2M telematic Star Partner nomination: Autocontrol Regional Control Center, Samara, Vector-Navigator Regional Control Center, Chistopol, and Market Media Regional Control Center, Vologda. The awards included 42 LCD panels, professional photo cameras, and notebooks. Norilsk-Telecom Regional Control Center, Norilsk, and Ob’edinennye Koordinaty Dalniy Vostok Regional Control Center, Khabarovsk, were named the Breakthrough of the Year. 27 companies were awarded in other nominations and received valuable gifts and diplomas.

Round tables dedicated to two main topics were organized on the second day of the conference. The participants of the round table on technical issues reviewed various aspects related to software development, equipment installation, specific features of GLONASS equipment, technical support organization process, installation of new devices at heavy construction equipment, equipment used in utilities sector, as well as at special and agricultural equipment, etc. The participants of the round table on commercial issues discussed the company’s pricing policy, current trends towards product line expansion, information and technical partner support strategy and other important issues.

In the evening the guests attended an interesting animation program and took part in Kurs Na Strike 2008 annual bowling cup. The winners of the cup received personal bowls and other valuable gifts.

The key objective of the event was to review the company’s and partner network performance for the year, share experience in the field of regional control centers operations and marketing of monitoring and fleets management systems in different regions. The conference participants shared the view that the set objectives of the conference were successfully met. Agreements on supply of business solutions for organization of M2M – Business Solution Regional Control Center were signed with Televizionnye Sistemy OOO, Ulan-Ude, and TMT-Kompleksnye Sistemy, Omsk, at the conference. Moreover, negotiations on five more projects to be implemented in Russia and the CIS went from the preliminary stage to detailed discussions.
